Beijing Masterplan | 2017
Together with ACMilan and the Chinese Football Federation, Novembre Studio developed a 550,000-square-meter multifunctional sports campus located in Nanhaizi Park 10km south of Beijing. The project combines Chinese culture with Italian style. The approach to the project on the one hand was strongly influenced by the typical features of Chinese architecture reinterpreted in a contemporary way: the large circular shapes, the protruding roofs, the colors, the strong symmetry and the emphasis on horizontality are evidence of the strong proximity of the project to its host site. On the other hand, the iconic images developed for Casa Milan return on an international basis following the main themes related to sports: people, propagation, movement and dynamism.
