Gispen – 2008 | A collection of furnishing objects made by combining two materials, wood and methacrylate. The interlocked plywood structures form reticular spatial grids that are then sculpted by concave and convex forms, and clad in the upper part by transparent plastic surfaces with a softened profile. The initial image for the design was that of a ‘sheet spread over furniture to protect it in a temporarily uninhabited house,’ when almost abstract, only partially recognizable volumes appear beneath a light, uniform surface layer.
