NET

Cappellini | 2001

Another object to furnish the home that seems to have forgotten all formal and typological conventions. NET is an unusual carpet, constructed as the sum of spirals of cords of different lengths, knotted around steel spools, seemingly generated from a single point, like a botanical structure. A carpet composed of independent parts in contrasting colors, capable of producing an unexpected horizontal surface, far from the ideal softness of normal textiles.
