Li Cuncheddi Hotel

Li Cuncheddi Hotel Olbia | 2000

Symbol of sex and sleep, 150 stuffed sheep scattered around the hotel evoke in a surreal way the Sardinian landscape. In the picture, the rounded volumes of the entrance area, with horizontal cuts that, on the right, define the reception. From the entrance arch, a blue tunnel directs the view towards the landscape framed by a steel and neon window. Outside, Toy armchairs by Philippe Starck for Driade. The transition between old and new, highlighted by the development of the bar counter. The white mosaic, colored in the joints, is by Bisazza. The wicker totem was made on site by Gervasoni. The image of the rooms has been renovated by means of a mirror arch with a ‘curtain’ that, placed above the bed, isolates the space of rest. To make the most of the small space in the bathrooms, the sanitary fixtures were placed at the corners and the shower in the middle of the rooms; the lighting from below creates a visual dilation effect.
