RPH for Cappellini | 2006
A section that gradually transforms, extending the seat and reclining the back, allows this upholstered piece to simultaneously offer comfort for conversation and uninhibited relaxation. This is the principle with which the RPH divan (initials ‘extracted’ from the word moRPHing) was imagined and designed: once again, a project that starts with the interpenetration of different typologies and the sum of multiple functions to produce a new model (and a new form), found by thinking about the evolution of a very personal language, and at the same time by reasoning on the concepts/functions of the typologies investigated (and thus surpassed).
