Lasvit – 2018
Inspired by Da Vinci’s Vitruvian Man, with an indiscreet nod to sex toys. When I was asked by my friend Leon to design a “monster” for his new collection, I realized that I have no monsters in my life to refer to. Since I was a child I always avoided scary toys or frightening playfellows, in constant search of beauty with classical references and an erotic twist. And that’s exactly how I faced the topic: a Vitruvian Man built with traditional decorations of Bohemian glass, in a scale that hints at the world of sex toys. A new friend with monstrous proportions, a toy boy to soothe solitudes of the soul.
