Padel Pavilion CityLife | 2023
Novembre Studio on behalf of SmartCityLife designed the new Padel Pavilion, the innovative sports center in the CityLife district that will be located within the park.
The building stands in visual continuity with the pre-existing architecture and in particular with the curves of the CityWave project together with which it forms a kind of portal from the northeast. In fact, the building features a large overhang with a 17-meter curved overhang that invites the park’s audience toward the entrance.
Externally, the surface of the pavilion consists of an Aluzinc upper part that rests on a semi-transparent polycarbonate base: the impression the visitor gets is that of a large full over a large empty, an object that amazes with its lightness, elegance and sensitivity to the precious territorial environment that hosts it.
The 12-meter-high, 2,800-square-meter structure will include 7 padel courts. Inside there will also be a refreshment area and a raised multifunctional space from which it will be possible to have a privileged view of the sports activity.
